New to my collection is this superb antique dress which can be seen illustrated in blue in the August 1912 issue of “The Delineator,” fashion magazine!

It is expertly sewn in wine red silk with cream schiffli lace. On the bodice and sleeves are little velvet bows with a small rhinestone in the middle.

This dress appears to have been made to be interchangeable. In the magazine, it is shown being worn outdoors with a long sleeve blouse for an afternoon stroll. The dress could then be worn without the blouse in the evening for dinner.
